Up in the Moscato hills above Canelli, the little village of Cassinasco gives over the first week of August to its Festa d'Estate — six evenings, a different dinner each night. Mixed grill and fritto misto early in the week, fassona tagliata on the Friday, a grand fish night on the Saturday, bollito and minestrone to close, most of them fixed-menu and worth booking.
The music carries it late: a Peter Pan tribute, an 883 tribute, and a rotating cast of DJs (Fabry Violino, Mauro Vay). Cheap, cheerful, covered if it rains — a proper hill-village ferragosto. Dates and the nightly menu above.
