Polentone di Cassinasco
Cassinasco's spring polenta feast: on a Sunday in April the Pro Loco serves polenta with gorgonzola or with sausage and stew from midday in Piazza Caracco, with local wine, a flea market, vintage scooters and cars on show and old wooden games for children.

Few village feasts can count their editions this high: 2026 was the 138th. It is a plain, generous Pro Loco lunch in a small village at the gateway from the Canelli hills into the Langa Astigiana.

- Polenta is served from 12:00 until it runs out, so don't arrive late.
- Bring a Vespa, a Ciao or any 50cc moped and you can join the static scooter rally (sign-up from the morning).

Every spring the little hilltop village of Cassinasco, on the road from Canelli up into the Langa Astigiana, holds its Polentone. On a Sunday in April the Pro Loco cooks polenta in Piazza Caracco and serves it from midday, with gorgonzola or with sausage and stewed meat, and a glass of wine from local producers. It goes until the pots are empty.
The feast has been running for well over a century: 2026 was the 138th edition. Around the lunch there is a flea market, a line-up of vintage Vespas, Ciao scooters and old cars, and a corner of handmade wooden games for children. In summer the same Pro Loco runs the Cassinasco Festa d'Estate.
