Murisengo's Christmas weekend in the old borgo below the castle: Santa's corner in the former church of San Michele, a Christmas market run by the village associations, street theatre, a Christmas concert in Sant'Antonio Abate and a big bonfire on the church belvedere.
Why it's special
It's a village Christmas made by the village: the Comune, the Alpini, the parish youth centre of San Candido and the local associations dress the medieval lanes, and the evening ends with a bonfire and Christmas greetings on the church belvedere.

- The main day starts mid-afternoon and goes on into the night, so dress for a December evening.

For a few days before Christmas the old borgo of Murisengo, on the hill under the castle, becomes the Fantastico Villaggio del Natale. The Comune started it in 2024 with the village associations, and it has grown into a full afternoon and evening: Santa receives children and their letters in the former church of San Michele, the associations run a Christmas market along Via Umberto I, and street theatre leads people through the lanes to a nativity scene on the church steps.
In the evening there is a Christmas concert in the parish church of Sant'Antonio Abate, which has a large Gandini organ. Afterwards a bonfire is lit on the belvedere beside the church, with sweets and Christmas greetings. Through the holidays the village plays Christmas music in the streets and runs the 'Natale è…' display contest, judged in January.
Murisengo is better known for its November white-truffle fair, the Trifola d'Or, and the Christmas village comes a few weeks later. The year's dates are above.
