Why it's special
The capoluogo's own patronal celebration, run by the comune and Pro Loco: the Complesso Bandistico Costigliolese opens it in the castle park, then the town settles into trestle-table dinners of local cooking, street food and dance bands. It's the summer counterpart to the June town festa — the feast Costigliole keeps for its patron.

Every August Costigliole d'Asti keeps its patronal feast, a four-day paese-in-festa that fills the centre of town. The Complesso Bandistico Costigliolese opens it with a concert in the castle park, and from there it runs on trestle-table dinners of Piedmontese cooking in Piazza Umberto I, street food, a Luna Park in Piazza Medici del Vascello and a dance band each evening.
This is the summer companion to the June Festa a Costigliole d'Asti: where June is the town's open-air party, August is the patronal feast proper. It shares the calendar with the wine-focused Calici di Stelle around the night of San Lorenzo, but the two are separate events.
