Luna Park di San Guido, Acqui Terme
The summer funfair of Acqui Terme's patronal feast: travelling rides set up in Piazza Don Dolermo, the yard of the old Caserma Cesare Battisti, for about twelve days in early-to-mid July, closing with the Fiera di San Guido.
Why it's special
San Guido is Acqui's biggest feast, and the rides open well before it: in 2026 they were turning from 3 July, more than a week before the fair's market days, the concerts and the fireworks by the Roman arches. On July evenings the old barracks square becomes the place the town's children and teenagers head for.

Acqui Terme's patronal feast for San Guido comes with a funfair. In early July the travelling showmen set up their rides in Piazza Don Dolermo, the yard of the old Caserma Cesare Battisti on the edge of the centre, and keep them turning every day until the last evening of the Fiera di San Guido. It's a classic Italian luna park, with the traditional rides alongside a few new attractions each year that pull in the teenagers.
In 2026 the rides opened on 3 July and closed on 14 July, the last day of the fair. The feast itself took the last five days: concerts from 10 July, the procession with San Guido's urn on Sunday 12 July, about 200 market stalls through the centre from 12 to 14 July and the fireworks on the Monday evening. Dates follow the 12 July feast, so check the Visit Acqui Terme calendar in June for the next run.
The same square hosts the November rides of the Luna Park di Santa Caterina. Pair an evening at the rides with a walk to La Bollente and Piazza Italia; see Acqui Terme for the rest of the town.
