Ronde Colli del Monferrato e del Moscato
A national-calendar car rally in the Moscato hills. In 2026 it runs as a 'Ronde': one 9 km special stage past the edge of Canelli, driven four times, with the start and finish up in Calosso.
Why it's special
Canelli has a long rally tradition, and the Ronde format keeps the action in one place: the same stage four times, including the famous hairpin in front of the Bocchino distillery a few hundred metres from the town centre. Spectators can pick a corner and see every crew pass four times.
Programme · 2026
29th edition, back on the national calendar in the short 'Ronde' format: 91 km in total, of which 36 km are timed on four runs of one 9 km special stage at Canelli. Organised by the VM Motor Team. Calosso hosts the start and finish for the first time.
- The race is on the Sunday.
- The stage starts at Regione San Giovanni and runs through Regione Aie (Madonna della Neve), Regione Sant'Antonio, Via Bocchino by the distillery, Regione Castellazzi and Santa Libera to Regione Bassano.
- Those roads are closed to traffic from 8:00 until the end of the race, so drive in early and follow the marshals.
- Strada Antica Fornace (the service park) is closed from Saturday 7:00.
- Stay well back from the road on the outside of bends.
The Ronde Colli del Monferrato e del Moscato is the autumn rally of the VM Motor Team, the club that also runs Canelli's spring Rally Vigneti Monferrini. Over the years it has moved around the Asti hills: Moncalvo hosted it in 2021, and in 2025 it was a full national rally based in Asti.
For 2026 it returns to the Moscato country in the compact Ronde format. Crews start from the hilltop village of Calosso, then drive one 9 km special stage four times on the edge of Canelli, through the vineyards of Regione Sant'Antonio and Santa Libera and round the hairpin in front of the Bocchino distillery. Between runs they regroup in Piazza Unione Europea and service in Canelli's industrial zone, so the distances stay short and the town centre is never far. The prize-giving is back in Calosso.
This year's timetable is above. Pick a spot along the stage early on the Sunday morning, since the roads close from 8:00.
