Fiera del Tartufo Nero "Trifola nOiR" di Murisengo
Murisengo's summer counterpart to its famous white-truffle fair: a new fair devoted to the black summer truffle (Tuber aestivum), held over the first two weekends of June to open the warm-season truffle hunt in the Monferrato hills.
Why it's special
The first fair in Lower Piedmont given over entirely to the black truffle — a spin-off of the historic Trifola d'Or that extends Murisengo's truffle tradition from autumn into summer.
Programme · 2025
First edition. A fair entirely dedicated to the black summer truffle (Tuber aestivum), marking the start of the summer truffle-hunting season. Truffle market, local producers and hill excursions across the first two weekends of June.
- A smaller, warm-season affair than the November Trifola d'Or — come for the summer black truffle and the hill excursions.
- Check dates each year on the fair's channels before travelling.
Murisengo is a white-truffle town by reputation, but in 2025 it added a summer sibling to its autumn fair. The Trifola nOiR — a spin-off of the historic Trifola d'Or — is the first fair in Lower Piedmont given over entirely to the black summer truffle (Tuber aestivum), and it opens the warm-season hunt over the first two weekends of June.
The idea, launched by the Regione Piemonte, is to stretch Murisengo's truffle tradition beyond the autumn–winter white season and give visitors a reason to climb into the hills in early summer: a truffle market, local producers and excursions out onto the truffle ground. It is young — the first edition ran in June 2025 — so check the current year's dates before you set off.
Base yourself in Murisengo and treat it as the summer bookend to the November fair.
