Villa Ottolenghi Wedekind

A hillside estate begun in the 1920s by Count Arturo Ottolenghi and his wife, the artist Herta von Wedekind, who brought in the architect Marcello Piacentini and, later, the landscape designer Pietro Porcinai — whose gardens won a European Garden Award in 2011. Sculpture by Arturo Martini and a frescoed mausoleum, Herta's Temple, sit among the vineyards; the estate opens for guided visits.
