November brings Canelli's biggest fair day. The Fiera Nazionale del Tartufo puts the region's celebrated truffle centre-stage, while the traditional Fiera di San Martino floods the streets with a market of more than a hundred stalls — food, produce and local goods.
It's a classic Piedmontese autumn fair, and as good an excuse as any to pair truffle with a glass of local wine in the village.
