Why it's special
It sets the region's prized white truffle beside one of Piedmont's old calendar-fairs (San Martino), so a serious food showcase and a sprawling street market land on the same day.

Sunday 8 November, 09:00–20:00, free entry: the Fiera Nazionale del Tartufo, showcasing the territory's food and wine, alongside the Fiera di San Martin, a market of more than 100 stalls selling all kinds of goods through the town.
- Go early for the truffle stands and the pick of the produce; the market of 100+ vendors spreads through the streets and it's busy by late morning.
November brings Canelli's biggest fair day. The Fiera Nazionale del Tartufo puts the region's celebrated truffle centre-stage, while the traditional Fiera di San Martino floods the streets with a market of more than a hundred stalls — food, produce and local goods.
It's a classic Piedmontese autumn fair, and as good an excuse as any to pair truffle with a glass of local wine in the village.
